Purpose
The Next In Line integration helps veterinary practices streamline scheduling and client communication by enabling online booking and automated messaging. By connecting Next In Line with Shepherd, clinics can reduce front desk workload, minimize manual scheduling errors, and improve the overall client experience through real-time availability and automated reminders.
Integration Overview
When Shepherd is connected to Next In Line, appointment scheduling and client communication workflows are automated while Shepherd remains the source of record.
Online booking with real-time availability
Clients can book appointments online using availability from Shepherd. When a booking is made:
The appointment is instantly created in Shepherd
The correct time, provider, and appointment type are applied
No manual entry is required
Automated reminders and confirmations
Next In Line sends automated confirmations and reminders via SMS and email, helping reduce missed appointments and manual reminder calls.
Two-way client communication
Clients can reply directly to messages, allowing clinics to handle questions and rescheduling without phone calls.
Reduced manual work
Because appointments and communication are automated:
