Antech V6 HealthTracks Integration (Closed Beta)

Learn how to transition from the current Antech Reference Lab and Heska integrations to the new unified Antech V6 HealthTracks integration in Shepherd.

Antech HealthTracks Immersion is currently in Closed Beta.

This integration may also be referred to as Antech V6.

If your clinic is having Antech analyzers installed, has an Antech representative onsite for an analyzer installation, or is switching to Antech Reference Lab for the first time, please reach out to our Support team through the in-app chat. Support can help make the Antech HealthTracks Immersion integration available for your clinic.

If your clinic currently uses Antech V3 or Heska and does not have an immediate need to transition, we recommend remaining on your current integration for now. A migration tool is currently planned for November to make the transition easier.

Purpose

Antech is transitioning to its new HealthTracks platform, which brings Antech Reference Lab and supported in-house diagnostics together under one platform.

The Antech HealthTracks Immersion integration:

  • Combines Antech Reference Lab and Heska under one unified platform

  • Uses Antech's HealthTracks platform

  • Uses a new, separate integration card in Shepherd

  • Requires existing Antech and Heska lab products to be mapped to new products when migrating manually

Before You Start

If you currently use Antech V3 or Heska and need to transition before the migration tool is available, there are two ways to manually transition to Antech HealthTracks Immersion.

Option 1: Use Your Existing Integration as a Reference

Enable Antech HealthTracks Immersion and use your existing Antech V3 or Heska setup as a reference while you recreate your product mapping, pricing, and configuration.

As each product is transitioned, deactivate its old version so your team begins using the new product.

The instructions below fully detail this migration method.

Option 2: Start Fresh

If you do not need to reference your existing configuration, you can deactivate your old products and rebuild your lab configuration directly in Antech HealthTracks Immersion.

Regardless of which method you choose:

  • Plan your transition outside of busy clinic hours.

  • Your old integration and Antech HealthTracks Immersion should not be used simultaneously long-term. A brief, intentional overlap during migration is okay.

  • Stop placing new orders through the old integration as products are transitioned.

  • Allow existing orders and results from the old integration to finish processing before turning it off.

  • Any product that is deactivated in the old integration but not yet mapped and activated in Antech HealthTracks Immersion will be unavailable for staff to select.

  • Review other areas of Shepherd that use your existing lab products after mapping is complete.

Careful timing will help prevent service disruption.

Take a Look

Enable Antech HealthTracks Immersion

If Antech HealthTracks Immersion is not available on your Integrations page and your clinic needs to transition now, contact Shepherd Support through the in-app chat.

Once the integration has been made available:

  1. Navigate to Admin.

  2. Click Integrations.

  3. Locate Antech HealthTracks Immersion.

  4. Click into the integration card.

  5. Toggle the integration to On / Active.

  6. Enter your:

    • Username

    • Clinic ID

    • Password

  7. Click Save.

When setup is successful, you will see a green Enabled status.

Product Mapping Overview

If you're following the side-by-side migration method, your existing Antech V3 or Heska configuration can be used as a reference while you configure Antech HealthTracks Immersion.

For best efficiency, we recommend opening two Chrome tabs:

  • Left tab: Existing Antech V3 or Heska integration

  • Right tab: Antech HealthTracks Immersion

To navigate to product mapping:

  1. Go to Admin.

  2. Select Products.

  3. Click the Lab Integration tab.

From here, you can reference your existing products while configuring their replacements.

How to Remap Products

Repeat the following steps for each product.

Step 1: Deactivate the Old Product

  1. In the old integration, locate the product.

  2. Toggle it Off to make it inactive.

Once deactivated, the old product cannot be selected for new orders. Make sure you're ready to configure and activate its replacement before deactivating it

Step 2: Activate the Matching HealthTracks Product

  1. In Antech HealthTracks Immersion, toggle off any Mapped Only filter if needed.

  2. Search for the matching product code.

  3. Confirm it matches the original product.

  4. Toggle it On.

  5. Click into Product Settings.

Step 3: Copy Product Settings

Carefully review your old product and recreate the applicable settings on the new version, including:

  • Markup pricing

  • Product name

  • Client discount eligibility

  • Pet Assure discount eligibility

  • Discharge Instructions

  • Automatic Tasks

If the product had additional configurations, make sure those are also recreated as needed.

Click Save.

Step 4: Confirm Mapping

  • Return to the Antech HealthTracks Immersion integration view.

  • Filter to show mapped products.

  • Confirm the new product appears and is active.

  • Verify the old version is inactive.

Repeat this process for each Antech or Heska product you need to transition.

Review Products Used Elsewhere in Shepherd

After mapping your products to Antech HealthTracks Immersion, review any other areas of Shepherd that reference your old Antech or Heska products.

These references do not automatically move to the new products.

Be sure to review:

  • Reminders: Update lab products used as triggers or for auto-completion.

  • Bundles: Replace old Antech or Heska products with their new replacements.

  • Estimates: Review saved estimates containing old lab products.

  • Discharge Instructions: Confirm any instructions associated with your lab products were recreated appropriately.

  • Automatic Tasks: Confirm any product-specific tasks were recreated.

  • Other workflows: Review any other clinic-specific workflows that rely on the old products.

Resolve Open Tests Before Turning Off the Old Integration

Before Shepherd will allow you to turn off your old lab integration, any tests still in Created, Preparing, or Pending status must be resolved.

To find these tests:

  1. Go to Diagnostics from the main dashboard.

  2. Use the Integration filter to select the lab integration you're turning off.

  3. Use the Status filter to show tests in:

    • Created

    • Preparing

    • Pending

For each test:

  • Click the three dots (⋯) on the right.

  • If the status is Pending, mark it as Completed.

  • If the status is Created or Preparing, mark it as Canceled.

If You Cancel a Test

Canceling a test will remove it from the invoice.

If the test still needs to be performed:

  1. Return to the SOAP where the test was originally ordered.

  2. Reactivate the SOAP and invoice.

  3. Reorder the test.

  4. Before administering the test again, click the test and toggle on Administer without integration.

All tests in Created, Preparing, or Pending status must be resolved before the old integration can be turned off.

Turn Off the Old Integration

Once you have:

  • Transitioned your necessary products to Antech HealthTracks Immersion

  • Updated applicable workflows that reference your old products

  • Stopped placing new orders through the old integration

  • Resolved all remaining Created, Preparing, and Pending tests

you can turn off your old Antech V3 or Heska integration.

Your old integration and Antech HealthTracks Immersion should not remain enabled together long-term. The temporary overlap is intended only to allow you to complete the transition without disrupting existing diagnostic workflows.

Default Markup Setting

Within Antech HealthTracks Immersion, you can configure a Default Markup.

For example, if your default markup is set to 150 percent, that markup will apply to activated products that do not have a manually configured price.

Individual products can still be customized.

Review this setting before completing your transition.

Implementation Timing Best Practices

  • Avoid transitioning during peak appointment times.

  • Work through products methodically rather than deactivating large groups at once.

  • Make sure a replacement is ready before deactivating a product your team still needs.

  • Allow existing orders and results from the old integration to finish processing.

  • Review dependent workflows before considering the migration complete.

  • Turn off the old integration once the transition is finished.
