Purpose
Antech will be retiring their current integration framework. All practices using Antech Reference Lab or Heska in-house integration will have to transition to the new Antech V6 HealthTracks integration.
The V6 integration:
Combines Antech Reference Lab and Heska under one unified platform
Reflects Antech’s new HealthTracks branding
Uses a new, separate integration tile in Shepherd
Requires all existing Antech and Heska lab products to be remapped
Before You Start
Plan your transition outside of busy clinic hours.
Any product that is deactivated in the old integration but not yet mapped and activated in V6 will be unavailable for staff to select.
All hospitals currently using Antech or Heska must remap their lab products to V6.
Careful timing will help prevent service disruption.
Take a Look
Enable the Antech V6 Integration
Navigate to Admin.
Click Integrations.
Locate Antech Integration V6.
Click into the integration tile.
Toggle the integration to On / Active.
Enter:
Username
Clinic ID
Password
Click Save.
When setup is successful, you will see a green Enabled status.
Product Mapping Overview
All Antech and Heska lab products must be manually mapped from the old integration to V6.
For best efficiency, we recommend opening two Chrome tabs:
Left tab: Old Antech or Heska integration
Right tab: Antech V6 integration
Navigate to product mapping:
Go to Admin.
Select Products.
Click the Lab Integration tab.
You will see:
Original Antech integration
Antech V6
Heska products
How to Remap Products
Repeat the following steps for each product.
Step 1: Deactivate the Old Product
In the old integration, locate the product.
Toggle it Off to make it inactive.
Once deactivated, the product cannot be used until it has been mapped and activated in V6.
Step 2: Activate the Matching V6 Product
In the V6 integration, toggle off any “Mapped Only” filter if needed.
Search for the matching product code.
Confirm it matches the original product.
Toggle it On.
Click into Product Settings.
You will see the product category labeled as Antech V6.
Step 3: Copy Product Settings
Carefully copy all settings from the old product into the V6 version, including:
Markup pricing
Product name
Client discount eligibility
Pet Assure discount eligibility
Discharge instructions
Automatic tasks
If the product had additional configurations, ensure those are duplicated exactly in V6. Click Save.
Step 4: Confirm Mapping
Return to the V6 integration view.
Filter to show mapped products.
Confirm the product appears and is active.
Verify the old version remains inactive.
Repeat this process for every Antech and Heska product.
Step 5: Update Reminders and Estimates
After completing your migration - review and update any reminders and estimates tied to old Antech or Heska product codes. Reminders connected to retired product codes will not automatically update to the new V6 codes. Be sure to:
Review all lab-related reminders
Review all estimates that include lab codes
Replace old codes with their corresponding V6 products
This ensures continuity in preventive care workflows.
Default Markup Setting
Within the V6 integration, you can configure a Default Markup.
Example: 150 percent
This markup applies to any activated product that does not have a manually set price.
Individual products can still be customized.
Review this setting before completing your transition.
Implementation Timing Best Practices
Avoid transitioning during peak appointment times.
Do not deactivate large groups of products unless you are ready to immediately map them in V6.
Move methodically through products to prevent gaps in availability.
