EZMedTech Integration is currently in Closed Beta but we're gearing up general release soon!

Purpose

EzMedTech helps veterinary practices reduce no-shows, optimize workflows, and automate client communication so teams can focus on patient care.


Integration Overview

  • Intelligent appointment reminders and confirmations to reduce no-shows

  • Predictive analytics to forecast busy times and guide staffing

  • Automated email and SMS engagement tied to clinic workflows

  • Centralized dashboard for schedules, communications, and performance metrics


Activating the Integration

Enable EzMedTech in Shepherd

  1. In Shepherd Admin → Integrations → Data Connections, locate EzMedTech Scheduling.

  2. Toggle On to enable the integration for your practice.

Send activation details to EzMedTech

Email support@ezmedtech.ai with the following:

Subject: New activation for Shepherd Practice: [Your Practice Name]

Body:

  • Clinic ID:

  • Practice Name: [enter]

  • Primary Contact Name: [enter]

  • Email Address: [enter]

  • Practice Address: [enter]

  • Phone Number: [enter]

  • Hours and scheduling preferences: [e.g., reminder send times, cutoff times]

  • Existing client communication workflows: [briefly describe]

EZMedTech will use this information to configure reminders, sync schedules, and set up analytics dashboards.


Using the Integration

Scheduling and Reminders

  • EZMedTech reads your Shepherd appointment schedule and sends reminders and confirmations by email or SMS based on your stated preferences.

  • Canceled slots can trigger follow-up messages to fill openings.

  • Staff can monitor reminder status from the EzMedTech dashboard.

Predictive Analytics (Beta)

  • Historical appointment data informs forecasts for busy periods.

  • Suggested staffing windows help you plan technician and DVM coverage.

  • Use forecast insights to adjust reminder timing and capacity management.

Automated Patient Engagement

  • Define clinic workflows that trigger messages such as pre-visit instructions, post-visit check-ins, or vaccine reminders.

  • Messages can include links to forms or instructions hosted by your practice.

  • Delivery method is chosen per workflow (email or SMS).

Centralized Dashboard

  • View today’s schedule, upcoming reminders, and message delivery status.

  • Track response rates, no-show trends, and staffing forecasts.

  • Export basic reports for leadership or team huddles as needed.
