Our estimate feature min/max behavior has been improved to accept a ‘0’ value in either the low or high end without any restrictions. This means you can more flexibly create treatment estimations without needing to create multiple versions, or compromise on presenting the most accurate estimate to your clients. This change also includes being able to define a min/max range for static bundles now as well.

Estimates now calculate sales tax to ensure that you are always able to discuss and present the most accurate cost expectations to your clients.

To support regulatory needs, discharge instruction features are now offered within all prescription workflows, including prescriptions handled outside of a SOAP. From the patient profile, when a refill or new prescription event occurs, you can now include discharge instructions as you previously could from a SOAP. Discharge instructions will behave similarly as known within a SOAP.

Clients can also download discharge instructions connected to prescription through their Pet Portal.

To support written prescription regulatory needs, prescription features have been expanded to offer a ‘Substitutions Permitted’ option. When this new election is marked, an alternative signature line will appear on written prescriptions with the Dr signature placed accordingly. When this election is not marked, the prescribing Dr signature will be placed in alignment with the ‘Dispense as Written’ signature line. This feature is not available for in-house prescriptions.

For in-house prescriptions, refills are now prohibited beyond the indicated original prescription expiration date.

To support prescription events which do not require a numerical refill quantity, we now offer a PRN election alternative. This feature is available for both in-house and written prescriptions. PRN refills are not valid past the original prescription expiration date.

Within financial reporting, Shepherd Pay Surcharge Fees are now considered for easier reconciliation between Shepherd and Shepherd Pay. Surcharge Fee features are only present when the Shepherd Pay integration is active, and your Shepherd Pay account has Surcharge Fees enabled.

Under clinic admin settings, tax rates can now be defined up to 4 decimal places to better accommodate regulatory specifications.

TranscribeAI beta features have been expanded to interact with Physical Exam Templates. The previously known transcription confirmation modal now offers a Physical Exam Template selection and will populate with proposed captured transcription text.
