Data Connection Overview
Each night, Vetcove imports client and patient details from Shepherd into the Vetcove Home Delivery Platform, including client contact information, patient weight, status, species, breed, last visit, and more.
Vetcove auto-populates the data, allowing veterinary staff to quickly and efficiently review the data during the approval process without switching between systems. This streamlines the review and decision-making process on medications and treatments.
Overall, this integration enhances the efficiency of the clinic's day-to-day operations on Vetcove Home Delivery by providing real-time access to crucial PIMS information.
Shepherd users must continue entering written prescriptions for all orders placed in Vetcove as this is a one-way connection.
Activating the Vetcove Home Delivery Connection
Step 1: Enable Vetcove Home Delivery connection within Shepherd
In the Shepherd 'Admin' menu, click 'Integrations,' and select Vetcove Home Delivery. Once the Vetcove Home Delivery page is opened, toggle on the integration. (see image below)
Step 2: Locate and Send "Clinic ID"
Once you enable the toggle in Shepherd, locate and copy your clinic ID in the 'Admin' menu under 'Clinic Settings'. A Vetcove team member will reach out to collect the clinic ID as part of the Home Delivery onboarding process.
