To comply with new requirements by inbox providers Yahoo! and Google, Shepherd has updated its Sender email address for all client-related messages sent through the platform.
Starting February 1st, 2024, email communications sent to clients via Shepherd will come from a new Sender address: notifications@shepherd.vet.
Emails include:
Appointment notifications
Reminder notifications
Mass communications
Previously, Shepherd utilized individual practice email addresses as the Sender. With this update, Shepherd can ensure it complies with evolving industry requirements. Automated email communications from one email address are common among veterinary software solutions.
Client responses will continue to be directed to your practice email address regardless of the new Sender address. The 'Reply to' email will remain defaulted to the practice email address listed on your Shepherd account.
