We love when a new client remembers their pet's previous vaccine records, especially when we can link reminders to them in Shepherd!

Add Historic/Previous Vaccines to the Patient's Profile

To enter previous vaccines in a patient's profile:

  1. Select the 'Vaccines' tab within the patient dashboard

  2. Select the 'Add Vaccination' button

  3. This will prompt a New Vaccination input page to open.

The New Vaccine input page will offer similar information fields to a Vaccine Product within Shepherd. While you can enter all fields, the only required fields to save the vaccine are:

  • Vaccine Name

  • Administration Date

  • Due Date

Note: There is a checkbox at the bottom of the page to indicate if the vaccine is a Rabies vaccine.

Once you save the vaccine information, it will automatically populate in the patient's 'Vaccines' tab within their dashboard.

Link a Reminder to the Vaccine

To add a reminder to a vaccine:

  1. Select the expansion arrow to the left of the vaccine

  2. This will display all the information you added when entering the previous Vaccine.

  3. Search and select an existing reminder to link

  4. Select the 'Add Reminder' button

  5. Once a reminder is selected it will auto-save and link to the vaccine

Note: All active reminders you have created within Shepherd's Admin > Reminders section will populate in the search bar for Reminders to link.

The newly linked reminder will also populate in the patient's 'Reminders' tab now. In addition to adding a patient's vaccines, you can also upload their previous records to the patient profile.
