Can't log in? There have been issues with Chrome saving some users' PINs as their practice's password—here's a quick fix.

Updated over 4 years ago

Due to Shepherd's two-factor authentication, there have been issues with Chrome saving users' PIN numbers as their passwords—which means sometimes whole practices can be logged out of Shepherd.

Thankfully, there's an easy fix.

Step 1. Saving the correct password

This step is optional and will vary from practice to practice.

If the leadership team is on board with having the practice's password automatically saved by Chrome, simply log into Shepherd and wait for the option to update the password.

Note: if the password is already saved, this popup won't display.

Step 2. Turn off 'Update Password'

Now that your practice's correct password has been saved, you'll need to turn off the Chrome feature that offers to update your password.

  1. In a new tab, paste this URL: chrome://settings/passwords and press 'Return' or 'Enter'

  2. Turn the toggle off for 'Offer to save passwords'
