This integration enters Open Beta on 10/3
Purpose
SignalPET provides AI powered veterinary radiology tools for interpreting diagnostic images. The integration connects SignalPET with Shepherd so teams can prepare radiology requests with relevant patient history and receive completed reports in the patient record.
What the integration does
Pulls relevant patient history from Shepherd into the SignalPET report submission form to reduce manual entry.
Automatically sends a completed SignalPET report PDF to the patient record in Shepherd, based on the report types selected in SignalPET.
SignalPET does not modify or overwrite existing patient information in Shepherd.
Before you start
Have an active SignalPET account or request a demo to get started.
Have your Shepherd Clinic ID available for the SignalPET connection.
Activate the integration
If you already use SignalPET
In Shepherd, go to Admin → Integrations, select SignalPET and enable the integration.
Provide your Shepherd Clinic ID to SignalPET as part of the connection setup.
In SignalPET, go to PIMS Integration and select Shepherd (via API) from the PIMS System menu. Follow SignalPET’s current connection instructions for entering your Clinic ID.
In Report Types, choose which reports should automatically return to Shepherd. For Immediate Reports, choose all reports or abnormal reports only if that option is available. Select any other report types you want to send, then save your changes.
If you are new to SignalPET
Request a demo at https://www.signalpet.com/request-a-demo. The SignalPET team can help set up your account and coordinate the Shepherd connection during onboarding.
Review reports in Shepherd
When SignalPET completes a selected report type, it sends the report PDF to the corresponding patient record in Shepherd. The report appears in Patient History and Patient Files. In SignalPET, the Study View side panel can show a “Synced with Shepherd” confirmation for the report.
