Midwest Veterinary Laboratory: Integration Setup

Here's how to connect the Midwest Vet Lab and Shepherd integration.

This integration is currently in Beta testing.

An announcement will be made when it is available to all customers.

What you need

  1. Midwest Vet Lab login credentials

    1. Username

    2. Password

  2. Midwest Vet Lab Clinic ID

Setting up the integration

  1. Open up 'Admin' in Shepherd

  2. Select 'Integrations' from the menu

  3. Choose the Midwest Vet Lab integration from the list

    1. This will open your practice's Midwest Vet Lab integration page.

From the integration page:

  1. Input your Midwest Vet Lab:

    • Username

    • Clinic ID

    • Password

  2. Select Save

  3. Click the Active toggle on the top right

A green check mark will appear above the Active toggle if your credentials are valid.

Note: An error message will appear if your credentials aren't valid.

Please try again—or contact Midwest Vet Lab.

This will start the download of Midwest Vet Lab's diagnostic services into the 'Midwest Vet' section of your clinic's products/services database (Admin > Products > Lab Integration Products > Midwest Vet Products).

Expect this process to take between 5–30 minutes to initialize (depending on your internet speed).
