Kontak Retriever is a VoIP telephone system for vets. The integration helps guide CSRs through each conversation by displaying all relevant client and pet information during the call.

Activating the Kontak Integration

By enabling the Kontak-Shepherd integration, you will enable a real-time data flow from Shepherd into Kontak Retriever, allowing you to utilize Kontak Retriever as a tool for your CSRs.

Step 1: Enable the integration in the Shepherd application

  • Click on Admin, then on Integrations.

  • To activate the integration, select Kontak then click on the toggle to enable (see the image below)

Step 2: Locate your Clinic ID

  • Click on Admin then on Clinic Settings.

  • Locate your Clinic ID then highlight and copy. This key is specific to your practice and will be required to be shared with Kontak to enable the integration.

Note: if you have multiple locations and wish to integrate just one with Kontak Retriever, please make sure you state which location we are connecting. Every location has a unique ID, and if we’re integrating multiple locations, each one will be connected to a separate instance of Kontak Retriever.

When you complete steps 1 and 2, Kontak will finalize the connection and send login credentials for each location separately.

Simply navigate to https://retriever.getkontak.com/ and use them to log in.
