Transfer Patient

See how to move a patient from one client profile to another.

In an instance where you find that you created a patient under the incorrect client, or a new client now owns that pet, you have the option to transfer patients.

  1. Navigate to the profile of the patient you wish to transfer to a different client

  2. Click the edit icon in the box with the patient information

  3. Select the Change Client button

  4. Begin typing the name of the client you wish to move this patient to

  5. Select the name from the options in the dropdown

  6. Select Proceed

  7. Type CONFIRM in the box to complete the change

NOTE: In order to transfer a patient from one client to another, the patient may not have an open SOAP or an active invoice. Be sure to lock and check out SOAPs and Invoices to avoid seeing an error.

The option to transfer patients is based on user role permissions.
