Exporting Medical Records

Export part or all of a patient's medical record or an individual SOAP.

You can export part or all of a patient's medical record from their patient profile.

  1. Navigate to the patient profile

  2. Below Patient Weights, History is the first tab of the patient record and is selected by default

  3. In the upper right corner of the section will be your action buttons. From left to right, the options are:

    1. View the Lifecycle (Detailed History/Medical Record)

    2. Send and email with medical record details

    3. Download the medical record details

    4. Print the medical record details

Note: Patient SOAPs will always be included, regardless of your selections. The extra checkboxes let you decide which other pieces of information you want to add or leave out, so you can customize what you send.

Email

  1. Click the Send (paper plane) icon to display the send options window

  2. Use the individual check boxes or the Include All option to determine what will be sent.

    1. Note: Patient SOAPs will always be sent, regardless of your selections. The extra checkboxes let you decide which other pieces of information you want to add or leave out, so you can customize what you send.

  3. Select the time frame the medical records should fall between - all time or a custom date range.

  4. Verify or Update the email address(es) you'd like to send to; this will default to the clients email address

  5. Add a subject line and body text

  6. Use the Email button to send the email which will contain a link to the patient's medical records based on the criteria you specified. The link will be available to the client or other recipient for 10 days from the date sent and will allow the recipient to download some or all of the records you sent depending on their preferences

Receiving History via Email

When you email the patient history via email, the receiver will get an email with a download link where they can open the record and choose what information they want to download.

Note: PDFs within the patient history will need to be downloaded separately by the receiver.

Download

  1. Select the Download icon to display the download options window

  2. Use the individual check boxes or the Include All option to determine what will be included in the download

    1. Note: Patient SOAPs will always be included, regardless of your selections. The extra checkboxes let you decide which other pieces of information you want to add or leave out, so you can customize what you send.

  3. Select the time frame the medical records should fall between - all time or a custom date range.

  4. Select Export

  5. The applicable documents based on your selected criteria will be downloaded in a zip file. Open the containing folder to view the files.

Print

  1. Select the Print icon to display the print options window

  2. Use the individual check boxes or the Include All option to determine what will be included

    1. Note: Patient SOAPs will always be included, regardless of your selections. The extra checkboxes let you decide which other pieces of information you want to add or leave out, so you can customize what you send.

  3. Select the time frame the medical records should fall between - all time or a custom date range.

  4. Select Print

  5. A new browser tab will open with a printable version of the included medical records

Exporting an individual SOAP

Export the details of an individual SOAP from within the SOAP itself.

  1. Navigate to the patient profile

  2. Select the SOAP from the patient history to view it

  3. In the SOAP summary box, use the 3 vertical dots to view the options. The exporting options include:

    1. Export SOAP

    2. Export SOAP with Discharges

    3. Export Documents

    4. Email SOAP

  4. For each of the export options, simply select the one that matches what you wish to export and a new tab will open with a printable version of the SOAP details. The SOAP will be downloaded as a zip file in your Downloads folder on your computer.

  5. To email the SOAP, select the Email SOAP option, verify or update the email address, and add a subject and body to the email. If you'd like to include the discharge instructions, select the Include Discharge Instructions box. An email will be sent with a link the recipient can access for 10 days to download the files.
