Rabies certificates can be created manually as needed or generated automatically when a rabies vaccine is administered. Rabies certificates are located under the Vaccinations tab on the patient profile in the Certificates dropdown.
Automatic Rabies Certificates
To have certificates generated automatically, navigate to Admin > Products > Select the rabies vaccine to edit. > Check the Rabies Vaccine checkbox > Save.
Combo vaccination items can also be indicated as Rabies Vaccines. This ensures that any combo vaccination event involving Rabies is included in the Rabies certificate generation and reporting, providing accurate and comprehensive vaccine documentation.
When you administer a Tx for a rabies vaccine, you can then easily enter the rabies tag number under the Tx History or the invoice line item. Once you enter a tag number, the certificate will automatically populate so you can print it or download it and attach it to an email.
Note: Under the Clinic Settings in Admin, you also have the option to have the rabies certificates automatically printed with the invoice. When enabled, this will generate a PDF to be printed with the invoice PDF. This does require the product to be marked as a rabies vaccine and a tag number to have been added.
Manual Rabies Certificates
If you need to create a rabies certificate manually, you will select +Add Rabies Certificate under the Vaccinations tab and then search for the rabies vaccine you need to generate a certificate for. Once the rabies vaccine has been selected, it will automatically populate the vaccine details such as lot, serial number, and expiration date. You may add a rabies tag number and manual note at this time if needed for additional information.
Rabies Certificate Note
Set a default note to be printed on all your Rabies certificates.
Navigate to Admin > Clinic Settings > Settings > Scroll down to 'Notes & Disclaimers' > Rabies Certificate text box > Enter Text > Save
Once added, this note will auto populate on all Rabies certificates.
