Easily generate a rabies certificate with Shepherd. Create a certificate for an existing rabies vaccination from the patient profile, the treatment history, or from within the invoice. The steps for each process are detailed below.

Step 1: Navigate to the Patient's Profile

Step 2: Select the Vaccinations tab

If the patient's vaccines were not administered in a Shepherd medical record, you'll need to add a manual vaccine using the patient's previous records.

Step 3: Create the Rabies Certificate

Under the Vaccinations list, there is a section for Certificates:

  1. Select the ‘Add Rabies Certificate’ button

  2. In the Vaccination field, select from the list of vaccinations on the pet's record

  3. Complete the required fields

  4. Save the certificate

  5. This generates and opens the rabies certificate in a new tab in your browser

  6. Print the certificate here if the client needs a paper copy

Step 4: Access the Certificate

The certificate is now a part of the patient's medical record in Shepherd.

  1. Under the Vaccines tab in the patient's profile, navigate to the Certificates section

  2. Select the down arrow to expand all rabies certificates in the patient’s Shepherd record

  3. Using the 3 vertical dots aligned with each document, you can perform the following actions for each certificate:

    1. Download

    2. Email

    3. Rename

    4. Delete
