TranscribeAI helps veterinary teams complete patient records faster and more accurately by capturing spoken observations and client conversations, then automatically placing them into the correct SOAP note fields.

It listens to the full two-way conversation, filters out unrelated details, and keeps the medical information you need. Using AI, it parses the recorded audio into suggested SOAP note entries. This saves you time, reduces manual typing, and helps you focus on the patient in front of you.

Data Protection & Privacy

TranscribeAI is built to keep client and patient information secure.

  • Secure from start to finish: Audio and transcripts are encrypted during capture, processing, and storage.

  • Private transcript storage: The text transcript is saved in Shepherd and linked to the user who started the recording.

  • Audio retention: Audio may be stored securely for troubleshooting. It is not saved in the Shepherd database and is not part of the patient record.

  • Authorized access only: Transcripts are visible only to Shepherd users with the right permissions. Audio is accessible only to authorized personnel when needed for troubleshooting.


Hardware & Device Support

TranscribeAI works on any device that can capture audio, including desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and earbuds. No special equipment is required to get started.

Some devices are more sensitive to background noise, which can affect transcription accuracy. If you notice interference, try using a different device or work in a quieter space.
