Veterinarian Recommended Solutions (VRS) offers safe, natural, evidence-based products validated by an internationally recognized Veterinarian Scientific Advisory Board. These products require a veterinarian’s recommendation to ensure proper dosing and the best clinical outcomes.

The VRS and Shepherd integration streamlines communication, reduces manual data entry, and ensures accurate synchronization of client, patient, and purchase information for seamless product recommendations and order fulfillment.

  • Mailing Address (Street, City, State, ZIP)

Pet Information

  • Pet Name

  • Species (e.g., dog, cat)

  • Breed

  • Age / Date of Birth

  • Weight

Product & Purchase Information

  • Product Recommended

  • Transaction and Visit Details

  • Date of Purchase


Configuring the Integration

To enable and configure the VRS integration in Shepherd:

  1. In Shepherd, go to Admin → Integrations → Data Connections → VRS.

  2. Toggle Enable Integration to activate.

  3. Navigate to Admin → Clinic Settings and locate your Clinic ID.

  4. Contact VRS at vet.vrshealth.com and provide your Clinic ID to complete setup.

Best Practices for Optimal Results

  • Assign a Supervising Doctor for consistency.

  • Update invoice statuses promptly to Checked Out.

  • Apply recommended coding structures within your Shepherd Product list.
