🔧 What is Oliver?

Oliver helps veterinary teams reduce no-shows, improve client communication, and save staff time. With automated reminders, a digital waitlist, and smart scheduling tools, Oliver keeps your schedule full and your clients engaged—without adding more work for your team.


✅ Integration Overview

The Oliver Integration allows you to connect Oliver directly to your Shepherd client, patient and appointment data. This seamless connection means less manual data entry and a smoother workflow.

  • Online Booking and Pet Portal

    1. Oliver’s Pet Portal allows clients to schedule appointments online using real time, accurate availability from Shepherd’s schedule.

    2. Clients can request medication refills, view each pet’s vaccination history, and even send vaccination history to boarding facilities, etc.

  • Automated Waitlist

    1. Oliver’s proprietary automated waitlist built specifically for the veterinary industry is second to none. Oliver’s integration with Shepherd allows for seamless, hands-free backfilling of canceled appointments on your calendar

    2. The Oliver Waitlist’s No-show Protection ensures you know ahead of time if a pet owner is going to come, and keeps the calendar full if they aren’t.

What Information Is Sent Back to Shepherd?

Through the integration, the following information is automatically written back to Shepherd:

  • New client records

  • New patient records

  • New appointments

  • Appointment confirmations and cancellations


📌 How to Enable the Oliver Integration

  1. Go to the Sidebar Menu

    • Click on Admin -> Integrations from the left-hand menu.

    • Then select Data Connections.

    • Locate the tile for Oliver & selection the card.

  2. Enable the Integration

    • Use the toggle setting at the top to activate the connection.

    • Once enabled, a green "✅ Enabled" indicator will appear.

  3. Retrieve your Shepherd Clinic ID

    1. Navigate to Admin → Clinic Settings.

    2. Copy the Clinic ID from the right-hand side of your Clinic Info tab

  4. Connect with the Oliver team

    • To complete the configuration, please contact Oliver

    • Provide your Shepherd Clinic ID
