Integrations & Data Connections Launching

Sound SmartPACS

Sound SmartPACS is an easy-to-use image viewing platform utilizing a hybrid deployment model of the cloud with the speed and accessibility of on-site access. Use SmartPACS 3.0 to view images confidently from any modality, on any device, any time. Sound SmartPACS integrates with DICOM-compliant modalities and supports automated billing when images are ordered through Shepherd. You can also view order status, completed results, or cancel orders within Shepherd.

Moichor

Moichor is an animal diagnostics laboratory committed to empowering veterinarians with cutting-edge, highly accurate diagnostic tools. Moichor's team of pathologists, engineers, and in-house veterinarians push the boundaries of innovation through the integration of artificial intelligence, computer vision, and the expertise of a dedicated group of medical professionals. Moichor is building the world’s largest species-specific reference interval library to ensure each patient receives the most tailored and accurate pathology results possible.

WaitWell

WaitWell is an advanced queue management platform designed to streamline emergency care visits. WaitWell gathers essential patient information before joining the virtual line, providing real-time updates on position status and wait times. This system minimizes lobby congestion and allows for clients to keep their pets comfortably at home until treatment begins. Once patient data is collected, WaitWell seamlessly integrates with Shepherd, transferring information directly into the patient health record. This efficient process ensures a smoother, more organized care experience, enhancing both client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

New Features & Capabilities

Scheduling & Provider Column Size Customization

We understand that every account's appointment calendar preferences can vary. To support more customization capabilities, we're introducing a new setting to select your preferred provider column width: Small (150px) or Default (250px). The default size is the current or previous column width, with small being a new narrower format.

Provider column width will remain responsive to the page based on the quantity of providers defined. For example, even with small width selected, if your account has only 2 providers defined, the 2 provider column will still utilize the full page.

In this change, we have also newly organized all scheduling related settings in a new feature focused setting tab.

New changes can be found by following: Admin -> Scheduling -> Settings -> Scheduling Calendar Column Width


Feature Updates & Enhancements

Clinic Shortcut Setting Changes

Based on user feedback, we have enhanced our clinic shortcut settings. Clinic shortcuts are now organized and present numerically + alphabetically. A new search field is also offered to easily recall and find specific shortcuts more easily.

In an upcoming release in the future you will soon see the ability to export and download your clinic shortcut list in full.

Forms + Table Building Enhancements

Within forms, we've expanded the capabilities available when building new tables. Form tables now support the deletion or addition of a singular column or row. User insights indicated a desire for more flexibility when building tables so these changes are designed to better support this need.

When working within a form table, you'll newly appreciate individual action icons along the right side. The left set of icons will add a new row or column to the left, right, top or bottom, whereas the right set of icons control the removal of a row or column from the top, bottom, left or right side.

Reporting | SOAP Report + Display Total Number of Visits

User report feedback indicated a desire to easily see a total number of visits noted within the SOAP report results. To support this need, we've added a new total summary value at the bottom of the report table.
