Tracks patient vaccinations, due dates, and rabies records with export options for reports and bulk rabies certificates in a single ZIP file.

Purpose

The Vaccine Report provides a comprehensive, filterable view of vaccination records across patients. Use it to monitor vaccine compliance, review patient vaccination history, track inventory usage, and identify upcoming or overdue vaccinations.

Clinics can also export Rabies vaccination certificates in bulk, allowing vaccination reports and certificates to be downloaded together in a single ZIP file.

Filters

Filter

Description

Time Period

Select a predefined range (e.g., This Month, Last Month) or a custom date range to define the report timeframe.

Run Report By

Choose Due Date to show vaccines scheduled to be administered, or Date Administered to show vaccines that have already been given.

Vaccine Type

Filter results by All Vaccines or Rabies Only.

Include Archived Vaccinations

Toggle to include historical or archived vaccination records.

After selecting filters, click View Report. Use Clear to reset all selections.

The Vaccine Report generates a single unified table containing vaccine, patient, and client information.

Vaccine and Administration Details

Column

Description

Invoice Line Name

Name of the product or service used for the vaccination.

Label Name

Display name associated with the vaccine record.

Vaccination Name

Official vaccine name recorded in the system.

Manufacturer

Vaccine manufacturer.

Serial Number

Serial number associated with the vaccine dose.

Lot Number

Lot identifier associated with the vaccine batch.

Lot Expiration

Expiration date of the vaccine lot.

Vaccination Due Date

Date the next vaccination is due.

Vaccination Administration Date

Date the vaccine was administered.

Rabies Tag Number

Rabies tag number assigned during vaccination.

Patient Information

Column

Description

Patient ID

Unique identifier for the patient.

Patient Name

Name of the patient.

Species

Species of the patient (e.g., Canine, Feline).

Breed

Breed of the patient.

Color

Color of the patient.

Sex

Biological sex of the patient.

Date of Birth

Patient's date of birth.

Status

Indicates whether the patient record is Active or Archived.

Client Information

Column

Description

Client ID

Unique identifier for the client.

Client Full Name

Full name of the pet owner.

Email

Client email address.

Phone

Client phone number.

Full Address

Client mailing address.

All columns support sorting and filtering using the column header controls.


Export Options

You can interact with the report in three ways:

  • View Report - Generate the interactive table within Shepherd.

  • Download (PDF/CSV) - Export the full report.

  • Table Specific CSV Download - Export only the visible table for spreadsheet use.


Rabies Certificate Bulk Export

This new feature launches 3/14/26!

Clinics can export Rabies vaccination certificates in bulk. When exporting Rabies records, vaccination reports and Rabies certificates can be downloaded together in a single ZIP file for easier record sharing and compliance documentation.


Tips for Use

  • Use Rabies Only to quickly track rabies compliance and tag assignments.

  • Run the report by Due Date to identify upcoming vaccinations for scheduling.

  • Enable Include Archived Vaccinations when auditing historical patient records.

  • Export reports regularly to support regulatory reporting or vaccine inventory planning.


FAQs

What does Run Report By control?
It determines whether the report filters results by vaccination due dates or vaccination administration dates.

Why are some rabies fields blank?
Rabies tag numbers and related details only appear when a rabies vaccination record exists.

Can I download Rabies certificates for multiple patients at once?
Yes. Rabies certificates can now be exported in bulk and downloaded together with the vaccination report in a ZIP file.
