This inventory report dashboard helps your team track inventory levels for items that have reached or fallen below their defined reorder points. Use this tool to manage restocking efficiently, avoid shortages, and ensure that veterinary supplies are always available when needed.
๐ Understanding the Dashboard Columns
Each row represents an inventory item that is currently low in stock. Here's a breakdown of what each column means:
Item
The name of the product or supply item.
Examples: Advantage Multi 1-5, Amoxicillin - 250 mg/Tablet
Reorder Point
The minimum threshold quantity for an item.
If the current quantity falls below this point, it triggers the need to reorder.
Units vary by item (e.g., tubes, bottles, capsules).
Reorder Quantity
The suggested quantity to reorder to replenish stock.
Helps standardize restocking efforts for each item.
Current on Hand Quantity
The actual amount of inventory currently available.
If this value is below the reorder point, the item is flagged for restocking.
Note: Negative or zero values indicate discrepancies or urgent resupply needs.
Two Week Usage
Total quantity used in the past 14 days.
Offers a snapshot of recent demand.
Monthly Usage
Quantity consumed over the past month.
Useful for identifying trends in usage and adjusting reorder points over time.
Current on Order Quantity
Items that have already been ordered but not yet received.
Helps avoid duplicate orders and informs when relief stock is expected.
Vendor
The supplier for the item.
Examples: Vetcove, Hillโs, MWI

๐ ๏ธ Troubleshooting Tips
Negative Quantities? This may indicate a data entry error, workflow discrepancies or syncing issue with your inventory tracking system. Review usage logs or adjust manually if needed.
Zero Monthly Usage but Below Reorder Point? Items might be nearing expiration or under irregular demand - check clinical usage or shelf status.
