Dispensing fees help ensure that your practice charges the correct amount for different products and services—whether that means they're more difficult or for controlled substances.

To get to ‘Dispensing Fees,’ click ‘Admin’ and then ‘Products.’ From there, click on the ‘Dispensing Fees’ tab.

When you’re in the ‘Dispensing Fees’ section, you’ll be able to do a few things with your dispensing fees:

To search for a dispensing fee, type its name into the search bar at the top left of the screen. The list below will automatically filter to results that have the text you’ve typed in.

You’re only able to sort dispensing fees by their name.

To sort them, click the arrows to the right side of ‘Name.’ Results will sort alphabetically.

To add a new dispensing fee, click the ‘Add New’ button in the upper right corner of the screen.

When you add a new dispensing fee, all you have to do is input the fee:

When you’re done, don’t forget to save by clicking the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the screen

To edit a dispensing fee, give it a click! Or you can click the ‘edit’ icon (the pencil) on the right side of the screen under ‘Actions.’

Editing a Dispensing Fee’s Name

To update a dispensing fee’s name, click into the ‘Name’ box and edit the name to your liking.

Editing a Dispensing Fee’s Amount

To edit the fee amount for a dispensing fee, you can either click into the ‘Amount’ box and change the amount manually or use the arrows on the right side of the box to adjust it.

Adding a Dispensing Fee to a Product

To add a dispensing fee to a product, you can add the product in the ‘Product with Dispensing Fee’ box at the bottom of the ‘Edit Dispensing Fee’ screen.

To add a product, start typing its name into the search bar in ‘Product with Dispensing Fee.’ As your results narrow down, you can either click on the product to add it or hit ‘Enter’ when the product is highlighted.

Note: if the product you select already has a dispensing fee, a popup will ask if you want to switch the fees out.
